Welcome to your first visit
Most patients who visit South Dayton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the first time receive an oral exam and consultation. This appointment helps us discuss your diagnosis and determine the appropriate treatment plan that is right for you. A simple procedure may even be performed on the day of the consultation for some patients, but most will need to return to our practice on another day for their procedure.

You can expect diagnostic images, such as X-rays and 3D scans, to be taken and reviewed during this appointment. If you have recent diagnostic images from your general dentist or referring specialist, please remember to bring these with you to this appointment. Other items you will need to bring to this appointment include:

Referral slip from your dentist or other referring specialist

List of medications you are currently taking (heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
